Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much area does a gallon cover?

A US gallon of latex / acrylic paint covers about 350 sq ft on smooth drywall (one coat). 1 L covers ~10 sq m. Rough or porous surfaces drop those numbers 20–30%.

  • Why include a waste buffer?

Trim, touch-ups, and roller waste eat 5–15% on most jobs. We default to 10%.

  • What about ceiling and trim?

Ceilings and trim are typically painted in a separate colour. Calculate them as their own room with width = length and the actual ceiling area.

  • Privacy?

Calculation is local. Your room dimensions are not transmitted.
